
LME Community-based Residential Facility (CBRF) Training
Are you interested in starting your career working in a community-based residential facility or assisted living facility? You've come to the right place! Living Made Easy (LME) is approved through the CBRF Training and Registry Services to teach all of the state-required CBRF courses.

Our CBRF training is available at our office in Milwaukee, and we also travel for onsite CBRF training for groups. Please call us at 414-800-4284 with any inquiries about registering or setting up onsite training at your CBRF.

LME offers affordable training that provides both education and inspiration to help students create safe and positive environments for residents in the Milwaukee community. Students learn about caring for persons with special needs, recognizing and properly documenting challenging behaviors, and understanding key legal and safety requirements. Training covers how to administer and document medication, prevent errors, recognize adverse side effects, follow HIPAA laws and OSHA guidelines, and respond to incidents and fire emergencies.

Medical Administration
This course will provide the information and skills necessary for students to administer medications correctly, understand resident rights, policies and procedures, labeling and storage, reduce mistakes and much more.

Fire Safety
It is of the utmost importance to keep residents safe during an emergency. This course will cover topics such as: use of an extinguishers, evacuation protocols, warning systems, fire hazards and ways to prevent fires.

Resident's Rights
This training teaches caregivers how to recognize and protect the rights of residents. Emphasis is placed on preserving safety and privacy, with a focus on how proper training and clear workplace expectations help ensure dignity and respect for every resident.

Standard Precautions
This course provides information on not spreading infections and other diseases. Topics covered include hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, respiratory hygiene, cough etiquette, and safe injection practices.

Dementia
This session covers stages of dementia, effective communication, behavior management, and person-centered care to ensure caregivers provide support that enhances resident quality of life.

Prevention and Reporting Abuse & Neglect
This training teaches caregivers how to recognize, prevent, and report signs of abuse and neglect in community-based settings. Participants learn their legal responsibilities, how to respond, and create safe environments that protect residents from harm.

First Aid and Choking
Students will learn the various roles and responsibilities that can arise in emergencies. Topics covered include emergency identification and response, basic prevention methods, and basic first aide measures until help arrives.

Dietary and Dysphagia
This training focuses on safe meal preparation for residents with special diets and needs. Participants learn food safety, nutrition guidelines, and techniques to support residents’ health, dignity, and well-being.

Challenging Behaviors
This training prepares caregivers to understand, manage, and respond to challenging resident behavioral diosorders in a safe and supportive way. Participants learn strategies to de-escalate situations, reduce stress, and maintain dignity and respect for residents.
